LIBERATE YOUR AIMPOINT COA: INTRODUCING THE KDG BOM COA MOUNT

When Aimpoint created the COA optic and its proprietary “A-Cut” interface, it was engineered with a specific mission: direct slide integration for factory handguns, most notably the Glock Gen 5 A-Cut. It brought Aimpoint’s legendary durability and crisp glass to handguns without needing bulky adapter plates.

Then, the standalone Aimpoint COA optic was released to the commercial market—and a massive capability gap emerged.

Shooters had access to a high-performance red dot with a low-profile, ultra-durable A-Cut footprint, but aftermarket support was virtually non-existent. Unless you were mounting it directly to an A-CUT factory pistol slide, you were out of options. There was no clean way to run this optic on an AR-15, a pistol caliber carbine, a shotgun, or a precision chassis. A world-class optic was trapped in a single-use ecosystem.

We don’t follow the market; we build what it’s missing. KDG is proud to be one of the very first manufacturers to bring a dedicated A-Cut Picatinny mount to market.

With the KDG BOM COA Mount, you can finally unlock your optic’s full potential and run it on any standard 1913 Picatinny rail.

FROM PISTOL SLIDE TO CARBINE TOP RAIL

Confining an Aimpoint optic strictly to handguns limits what a modern shooter can do. The COA’s battery life, thermal stability, and rugged housing make it an exceptional candidate for primary or offset duty on carbines, sub-guns, and defensive platforms.

By engineering a precision-machined top plate tailored specifically to the A-Cut footprint, the BOM COA Mount converts the COA from a niche pistol dot into a versatile, rifle-ready optic system.

Instead of sitting in a box or living permanently on a handgun slide, your Aimpoint COA can now serve on your primary home-defense rifle, your lightweight truck gun, or your PCC.

TWO HEIGHTS. ONE BOX.

Bringing the A-Cut footprint to carbines meant solving another major issue: mounting height. A height that works for a handgun slide will destroy your posture on a rifle stock.

As one of the earliest adopters supporting the COA on long guns, we made sure shooters didn’t have to guess which elevation they needed. The KDG BOM COA Mount ships with two complete height configurations right in the box:

  • 1.57″ Lower-Third Co-Witness: The default, baseline configuration out of the box. Delivers a natural, firm cheek weld while aligning cleanly with lower-third backup iron sights.
  • 1.93″ Heads-Up Height: Install the included precision aluminum lift block and long hardware set. This elevates your Aimpoint COA for an upright posture, seamless passive aiming under night vision goggles (NVGs), or gas mask clearance.

You don’t need to guess whether you want a traditional or tall mount at checkout. Test both configurations on your own rifle setup and see what fits your eyes and mission profile best.

BOMBPROOF HYBRID ENGINEERING

Transitioning a handgun optic to a rifle means it will encounter different, higher-energy recoil profiles and harsher physical environments. A cheap or all-aluminum clamp simply won’t hold up to hard duty use.

The BOM COA Mount utilizes an intentional hybrid construction designed for total survivability:

Precision Aluminum Chassis: The base housing and 1.93″ riser block are machined from lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum to keep your upper rail nimbler and perfectly balanced.

High-Strength Steel Lockup: The crossbolt and side clamp are crafted from high-strength steel. When torqued onto a 1913 Picatinny rail, the steel clamp delivers an unyielding, vice-like grip that handles severe drop impacts, vehicle transport, and aggressive firing schedules without shifting your zero by a fraction of a millimeter.

FUTURE-PROOF YOUR SETUP

Even though you are unlocking the A-Cut interface today, your rifle is never locked into a single footprint forever.

Because the BOM platform relies on a swappable top-plate architecture, you retain the base chassis, steel clamp, and riser block if you ever decide to swap glass in the future. Unbolt the COA plate, drop in a T2, RMR, or ACRO plate, and adapt your rifle to a new optic ecosystem without buying an entirely new mounting system.
